“Isn’t Christianity a Sectarian Religion?"

Major Religions (Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism) propose that the human’s true essence is their soul instead of their physical bodies. But just like our physical bodies, the soul has needs or it will starve. So Christianity is just another kind of guidebook that does the same thing - therefore it is simple a sect of religion.

Each religion proposes to be a guidebook of that spiritual plane that helps lead our starving souls to the soul bread.

Christianity is Not a Religious Sect

You cannot earn your way into Heaven

Ephesians 2:8–9 ESV

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

James 2:10 ESV

For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.

Isaiah 59:1–2 ESV

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.

These scriptures negate any effort on our part to earn heaven OUTSIDE OF CHRIST

There are patterns and blueprints IN THE BIBLE that guide us to do the things that God will have us to do, not only in how to BE SAVED, but how to worship Him publicly, how to be a good husband, a good wife, how to be a good citizen, how to grow spiritually and how to develop humility. There are patterns and ways that the Bible teaches us these things.

Church of Christ is the only religion that seeks to pattern this

1 Corinthians 1:10–13 ESV

I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has been reported to me by Chloe’s people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers. What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
